The Long Beach Convention Center and SMG Food & Beverage in partnership with Pacific Gateway will host three information/application sessions to fill more than 150 open positions on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.

THESE POSITIONS ARE PART-TIME, FULL-TIME, and/or ON-CALL POSITIONS.  ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

All interested applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background check (individuals interested in applying for the Concession Cashier and Concession Lead positions must also pass a credit check).

Information Sessions will be held at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at the Long Beach Convention Center - Seaside Ballroom, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, 90802. (The Seaside Ballrooms are located below the Long Beach Performing Arts Center on Seaside Way).

Drive down Pine Avenue past Ocean Blvd and turn left at Seaside Way (light at the bottom of the hill), drive down Seaside Way, Seaside Ballrooms are on the right under the underpass.

BAKER - Requirements: Must have at least 1 to 2 year of baking pastries and cakes, experience in baking Japanese bakery is preferred. Hours: 30 to 40 hours a week. Pay: $2,000 to $3,000 DOE.   If interested, please email resumes shirleyyeh2002@yahoo.com

Section 8 Vouchers -  are available for homeless veterans--the program is called VASH.  If you are not connected to a VA clinic or community program, go to Screening Clinic at the VA Building #206 Monday to Friday 8AM to 3:30PM. If you are getting case management services at a local community provider, the community provider can make a referral over the phone at 310-654-7981.
